Wackymals may not be a million dollar name, but they’ve got game!

Ah, Friday! I allowed myself to stay up later last night to watch The Big Idea with the charismatic powerhouse, Donny Deutsch. I got my reward! A fun topic to end this week’s posts… there was a segment about weird, wacky and wonderful stuffed animals as toy pets for kids.

The segment, on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, featured a company that has come out with a new toy pet idea… some fun and wacky pet animals for kids that they call… “Wackymals”

What’s wacky? The combos of animals such as the Bumblebear which is a cross between a bumble bee and a bear, the Monquin which is a cross between a Monkey and a Penguin or the verrrry cute Tigeroo, which you’ve guessed to be a tiger kanagroo combo.

Personally, I could not figure out from the site pix or the name what a Hurtle is or isn’t is!
Check it out and see if you can tell…

The Wackymal leader was looking to Donny Deutsch for some million-dollar advice and Donny and his guests jumped in to help out. One great suggestion to “up” the creativity and fun quotient was to sell separate animal parts with velcro attachments so that kids could make up their own pets and name their creations. Great idea! Then a person could make a Kangagator, an Elephouse, or even a Lizkey.

The Wackymals website features an island with lots of interesting places for kids to visit, such as a fishing lagoon where they can catch fish to earn island money to spend in the island’s stores. The sites and sounds are very appealing and graphics clean. Family-friendly, fun and we think a million dollar idea.

By now all ages are familiar with the mighty popularity of the toy Webkinz pets and the online site where kids can buy stuff for and play with their Webkinz pets.

Considering the popularity of Webkinz, at $19.95 these new toy pets for kids have extra merit as these furry Wackymal pets are just a tad over a quarter of the price! When people buy the equivalent of “lint on a stick” in gift stores everywhere… (as is my fave saying), you know those cute and colorful baubles of fuzz at the checkout that sell for five bucks or so) then the Wackymals that are still $5.99 look like an even greater deal. They’ll be on my list of gift ideas list for all the kiddles in my world. I’ll combine each Wackymal with a gift certificate for a star and a corner of fame in the pet time capsule at MillionDollarPetPix.com which should please these kids absolutely.

Maybe the Wackymals group should run a contest to come up with some even more-wacky animal combo ideas. We wish them well.
