While many are opting for staying closer to home this year due to the insane fuel prices, those pet owners who venture out on vacation will be pleased to know that the American Automobile Association is offering valuable information in a book about pet-friendly hotels in the US and Canada.

Traveling With Your Pet: The AAA PetBook is available at AAA Service Centers and major bookstores. The cover price is $17.95, but AAA members pay $14.50 when they purchase the book at an AAA Travel Store.

 Pet Safety and Park Etiquette
We hope you will plan to leave your pet at home when you are going to attend the many firework displays that will light up the skies to celebrate July 4th. Many animals are get agitated or alarmed at the sound of the fireworks and most pet humane societies advise against bringing Fido to these events. They also remind us to not leave pets in cars in the heat.
