Audience members of the Ellen DeGeneres Show got to enjoy the upbeat and friendly visit of VIP guest Michelle Obama.  During the course of the conversation, Ellen reminded Michelle of a special promise… Michelle and Barack have promised their daughters, Malia and Sasha, that no matter the outcome of the presidential election the girls would be allowed to get a dog.

In true Ellen style, with fun, fanfare and elan, the chat ended with a real show-stopper. A terrific gift from Ellen for the Obamas… a top-notch home for this future pooch! And no ordinary dog house either…

The beautiful and elegant dog house is a replica of the White House… replete with a family photo of the Obamas hanging in the Oval Office! Oh yes, and there was a photo of Ellen hanging in the Oval Office as well… smoooooth!

The audience howled with laughter (no pun intended). No doubt many wondered where one could snag such a novel dog house for their own pet. Try as I might I was not able to get that info from the show and have been unable to find it elsewhere in time for this post. So in typical PR Sammi fashion I have taken it upon myself to write to Ellen to get the details for you… stay tuned!

We’ve also suggested that she check in with the Obamas to see if they’d be interested in running a “Name the Future Dog” contest. Okay maybe that’s a little bird-brained since the Obamas are so busy right now, but it could be also be fun and endearing.

One can only imagine Ellen’s own enjoyment at being able to present this terrific gift. What super fun! And whatever pooch is chosen to join the Obama family, his or her White House future is now secured!
