A glowing, well-groomed, glossy-coated pet is a delight… speaking of good health and responsible pet ownership. Just as we are what we eat, so too our pets. Finding nutritious pet food one can trust is always a concern.

Many cottage industries producing and selling home-made pet food have sprung up in the last few years and this trend continues to go, from fast food and treats for pets to fast-frozen gourmet pet food that can be ordered online.

When you are shopping for pet food, a good guideline to follow when reading the ingredients label.  The first four ingredients speak to the quantity, so one should steer clear of any pet food that lists corn, wheat, common grains or meal as the first four ingredients. While these can be fillers, in larger quantity they can cause digestion and allergy problems for your pet. Vegetables and protein are far better according to noted vets and pet nutrition experts.
