Calm Your Pet Before Surgery
Checking In with how your pet feels…
Like any good parent, a pet owner carefully weighs any decision for surgery for the pet. Second or third opinions are sought as well as all the alternatives to having the pet go through a surgery at all.
We know that our pets can sense our fears and hesitancy… when we’re anxious, happy, fearful, angry, etc. They, like children, can mimic and mirror our feelings, some of which we may not even be aware.
If facing surgery, our pets are likely to already be out-of-sorts from the symptoms of their ailment. They can also add to this stress by sensing our own discomfort… the pet gets anxious over the impending surgery simply by getting the negative vibes from us.
There is a way to address our own fears and calm our pets before surgery…
by simply checking in with the pet themselves and by trying to get in touch with how your pet actually feels! Again, just like a good parent, it is a great idea to talk about all that is happening and explain all the details of the planned surgery, therapy and or meds. Val Heart, Expert Animal Communicator, Master Healer & Author gives us insight in how to do this, in the Ask A Pet Communicator section of the Ask an Expert at MillionDollarPetPix.com
