If you are a horse owner, you know that ponies and horses are a very special type of pet… They need extra attention and really good care to keep them in top form… because so large, it takes a lot of work to keep a horse… every day stall cleaning, brushing, currying, watering, making sure they have enough food. Horses also need enough shade and exercise… and “pedicures” area  really big deal! Not a pet for everyone…

So, if you are thinking about getting a pony or a horse, be sure to spend a lot of time helping to care for someone else’s horse for some time before making your decision. This will help you to understand the tremendous work and expense involved in keeping a horse healthy and content. Owning a horse may not be your best decision… sharing ownership and responsibility of a horse might be a better first-step out.
