Brushing Pet’s Teeth Saves Me Money?
Fur kids need oral hygeine too!
While toothpaste and mouthwash companies are doing headstands trying to find new ways to sell their products, (Putting toothpaste and toothbrushes in colorful and funny-shaped containers to make teeth-brushing more fun with the hoped-for result of getting your kids to brush their teeth more often (read sell more product) or by putting a color trace in the toothpaste to show kids where they’ve missed a spot when brushing…), they should perhaps be spending more time highlighting the importance of dental health to a person’s general health. Why?
It is becoming more evident that dental health is closely-related to overall health in a number of ways, though exactly how is still being studied. There seems to be a large correlation between poor dental health, heart problems, and ulcerated organs. Given the insanely-high costs of both dental and medical health, doing everything possible to prevent health and dental problems is critical.
Same thing with your fur kids… your pets. Brushing your pet’s teeth may sound like a chore you could clearly do without… but the same health connection between overall health and dental health exists in pets as in humans. An ounce of prevention is really worth its weight in gold for the sake of your special pet… for its enjoyment of a healthy life as well as the sake of your pocketbook, considering the same high costs for dental and veterinary services for your pet. A little brushing every day, as well as giving your pet chew-sticks to help keep the tartar buildup off their teeth can help to keep your pet more healthy, which means you can save money!
When we see the commercial for Denta Stix, where they say that your pets considers Denta Stix as a treat while you think of them as a pet dental plan, we smile in agreement.
