There are many reasons why pets prefer to go into hiding around Halloween, as evidenced by the many weird and wonderful costumes in which their owners dress them. While we get hearty laughs from the various pet costume get-ups we see around us and through our never-ending email photos, one really has to wonder how good all this fussing around can possibly be for the animal companion. We should probably count ourselves lucky not to understand animal language, as we might not be very happy with their take on our amusement.
