A much-loved canine will now be getting his own stamp as the US Postal service commemorates celebrities from the 50’s. The stamp edition is called “Early TV Memories” and the stamps are now being sold. These stamps feature classic TV characters from the 1950’s and one of those being celebrated is the beautiful, intelligent Collie and Hollywood star named Lassie. This quick-witted canine hero entertained Boomers with all sorts of wonderful adventures.

After a twelve year span of fame and some controversy, the legendary Taco Bell chihuahua “Gidget” passed away from a massive stroke.

The fifteen year old, iconic dog brought cheer to literally thousands in the pet lover community who celebrate pets. Toys depicting this funny little dog are also popular with younger pet lovers.

A recent poll taken by People Magazine suggests that the Labradoodle should be chosen over the Portuguese Water Dog as the family pet for President Obama’s family.
