“Veterinarians often see an uptick in the number of problematic calls during the holiday season,” explains Dr. Larry R. Corry, AVMA president. “Whether it’s an exposure to chocolate or fatty foods or pets upset due to unexpected guests or costumed visitors late at night, the holidays can present problems for pets. The AVMA urges all pet owners to include the health and safety of their pets in any plans for the holidays.”

A very disturbing email came across my desk today… one that made me physically ill. It was contained in a petition to try to bring awareness about a very cruel industry in China, as a way to help to stop it. The industry? Pet fur for use in garments… pet fur from little puppies who are actually skinned alive! I could not watch the attached video and do not have enough words to condemn this cruelty.Filling out the petition form on-line is a start…
