“Charlie is our darling!”

Canada gets the kudos this year with Charlie from Ottawa Canada taking the “Pet of the Year” honor for 2009.

This good-natured canine loves people and brings smiles to many at a local seniors’ residence. He also seems to like getting his picture taken when visiting his pals in the local sand pit and dog park.

This month you can expect to see ads about pet health and pet care compliments of your local veterinarian. Participating veterinary clinics nationwide are hoping to educate us on pet health and the importance of having a health care plan in place for our pets.

The three-step pet health plan suggested includes:
