There are many reasons why pets prefer to go into hiding around Halloween, as evidenced by the many weird and wonderful costumes in which their owners dress them. While we get hearty laughs from the various get-ups we see through our never-ending email photos, one really has to wonder how good all this fussing around can possibly be for the animal companion. No matter how serious a person may be, seeing some of these pet costumes can really make one laugh out loud.

Imagine… Noah… ark… animals! Lots and lots of animals. Okay… now think of 2009. Imagine camels, llamas, caribou, and porcupies on the cathedral steps in New York… and 3500 people of all religions with other asorted pets. Nothing if not interesting!
This Australian “toy” foal, born in Victoria in November 2008, was only 15 inches tall when born… about the size of a week-old lamb. The filly is expected to grow to a height of not more than 24 inches, which is usually the normal size for a new-born miniature horse.
