The horse industry has a direct economic effect on the U.S. of $39 billion annually. More than 4.6 million Americans are involved in the equestrian industry, and tens of millions more participate as spectators.
As other Boomers try to simplify their life and get back to basics, horse-centric communities are being developed and the demand for them has grown in the last five years, according to Jennifer Donovan, co founder and principal of Equestrian Services LLC who is a lifelong horse owner and competitive dressage rider.
