Canada gets the kudos this year with Charlie from Ottawa Canada taking the “Pet of the Year” honor for 2009.

This good-natured canine loves people and brings smiles to many at a local seniors’ residence. He also seems to like getting his picture taken when visiting his pals in the local sand pit and dog park.

Charlie, a hardy and happy four-year-old Corgi is a star pet and pet celebrity at seniors residence in Ottawa Canada. Here Charlie royally entertains and comforts his senior neighbors each day, bringing smiles wherever he goes.

“Charlie is our darling”, words echoed from an old Scottish air, is the sentiment felt for this lovable pet pal throughout the seniors’ residence.

After winning almost every kind of show-jumping medal going, usually astride his beloved horse Big Ben, Ian Millar of Perth Ontario in Canada, has fans (and angels) cheering as he has finally landed an Olympic medal. Dubbed as “one of the greatest equestrian athletes of all time”, Ian Millar has done Canada proud.

Though people came forward to help this man, quips still continued about how this taxman might now have a better idea about how taxpayers feel about the taxman’s bite.
