Latest Dog Food Recall in California
Drat, blast and darnation! Once again there is concern about possible salmonella contamination in a type of Pedigree pet food. State public health officials are pulling certain bags of Pedigree Complete Nutrition Small Crunchy Bites out of the market.
The Center for Disease Control is still receiving reports of new salmonella infections! “You should not keep your pets foods in the kitchen or feed your pet in the kitchen because that increases the likelihood it could get into other things.” - Dr. Ostroff
This statement boggles the mind! It puzzles and greatly concerns me. If one has to wear rubber gloves to protect themselves from a substance, or keep it away from our own food source, then what on earth are we thinking about if we then feed this to our special pets? If it is toxic enough to make me sick just in the handling, it should be thrown out. Why woud I give it to a pet to ingest? This is pure nonsense!
