This world-renowned fashion mogul with a career spanning 45 years, recently a guest on the Oprah Show, showed his beautiful family of five pet stars… all beautiful Pugs. The pet lover community responded on blogs everywhere! It has been said that Valentino adores his dogs so much that he even named a second line of clothing after his late pug Oliver.

While Oprah and Bill Smith were busy airing this important program, a new spokesperson for the cause was busy in the background. Enter Jane Kohl, a crusader for ending puppy mills… period. Featured today on Good Morning America, Jane spoke about her new book, A Rare Breed of Love, which is a star-studded collection of celebrities from many walks of life who support her in her “Adopt Don’t Shop” crusade to make people more aware of the importance of adopting shelter animals or buying from registered pet breeders instead of buying pets from pet stores or from the Internet.

It would seem that Oprah wins the “Can You Top This” contest in which she appears to be the only contestant. Earlier in the month she responded to a frantic bill-board plea to expose the puppy mill industry by devoting an entire show to this subject.
