Since June is “Make Your Pet A Star” month (National Special Events Registry) we are celebrating in what we think is a fun, purposeful and helpful way and invite you to join us.
Ongoing studies bring us more news about the positive affect pets can have on us at every age and for all walks of life. From the calming influence of a Guide Dog for autistic children and their family to the happiness-factor blood-pressure-reducing effect of visiting pet programs for the shut-ins in hospitals, retirement villas and nursing homes, the perceived and real value of our pets continues to increase.

While checking out other pet photo contests on the web I came across a doozy. In the “Can You Top This?” corner there is now a collosal pet lover essay contest (that includes a pet photo) that started in early April.
