Your Pet and Separation Anxiety

If your pet becomes upset whenever you must leave, your pet may have separation anxiety.

One of the first things to do is to check to see if the “acting out” is actually due to separation anxiety or if it a symptom of something else. We suggest the excellent behavior tip sheet found on the HSUS site which can help you to determine if your pet is suffering from separation anxiety or not.
